A community centerpiece, Cherryland Fire Station aims to encourage community interaction with the Alameda County's Fire department and the neighboring community by combining the fire station with a community clinic. The 10,500 sq-ft, two story station located near the city boundaries of Hayward includes exercise rooms, office rooms, dorms, and kitchen facilities.

Loisos and Ubbelohde consulted on sustainable building concepts, provided energy modeling, and managed the LEED Certification process. Through simulation, building's envelope, aperture size, and lighting control strategies were designated to increase thermal performance.
